        Honduras is located in Central America.  It shares borders with Nicaragua, Guatemala, and El Salvador.  Its population is 7, 639, 327.  Some foods people eat in Honduras include rice, beans, bananas, scrambled eggs, and white corn tortillas.  White corn tortillas are an unusual dish because it is made of white corn.  People in Honduras use conch shells, marimbas, guitars, accordions, and carambas in their music.  Their dances include the Punta and the Yancunu.

            Honduras’s climate is tropical and rainy.  It rains the most in May.  The temperature in Honduras is also the highest in May.  The Rio Coco River is located in southeast Honduras, while the Rio Bocay is located in western Honduras.  One of the main exports in Honduras is coffee and bananas.  Other exports such as minerals include silver, lead, and zinc.  One country Honduras exports to is India.  Honduras imports fuel, corn, rice, and poultry.

            One famous place in Honduras is the Copan Ruins, which is located in the western parts of the Republic of Honduras.  Copan is the archeological city located in western Honduras.  Another famous place in Honduras is the Puerto Cortes.  Located in Tegucigalpa, this port has become the most important port city in Central America. Kaka Maka is a famous singer from America who was born and raised in Honduras.  Another famous person is José Antonio Velásquez, a painter.

             In Tegucigalpa, La Tigra National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Honduras.  Another tourist attraction called the National Museum Villaroy is also located in Tegucigalpa.  This historical museum is one of the main tourist attractions.
